FTX Is Seeking to Sell 22.3 Million Locked-Up WLDs at a Significant Discount: Sources
On Oct. 3, FTX is looking to sell 22.3 million locked-up WLDs, currently valued at about $37.7 million, at a discount, The Block reported, citing sources, adding that the sale is part of the organization's ongoing efforts to recover funds for creditors.
Interested buyers must submit bids for the WLD token sale by Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET, the two sources said, adding that those buyers will be notified by Thursday if their bids are accepted. FTX's discount for the sale of WLD tokens could be between 40 percent and 75 percent below the current spot market price, which is currently around $1.69. The current spot market price for WLD is approximately 1.69 U.S. dollars.
