Bridgewater founder: The US Treasury bond bear market may be a long road
Billionaire investor Dalio has warned that the sell-off of U.S. Treasury bonds is far from over. As government and corporate bond issuance surges, demand from some of the world’s largest traditional buyers is waning. Dalio stated that the U.S. is entering a phase where a growing bond supply is driving yields higher, with debt levels continuing to increase. He believes this cycle may persist until rising interest rates put enough pressure on the economy and financial markets to prompt a new balance between supply and demand. Dalio wrote: "The path of the Treasury bear market may be a long one."
