Trump’s “AI czar” nominee revealed: Current US Director of National Intelligence, clearly opposes halting AI development

According to media reports on Saturday, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton has been selected as the new head of artificial intelligence (AI) affairs in the Trump administration, referred to by Trump as the "AI Czar." Amid growing public concern over the potential risks of AI, he will be responsible for leading AI-related initiatives. Clayton told the media that he will lead a newly established White House task force, which will study and report on the risks and opportunities brought by AI within 120 days, and put forward suggestions regarding the responsibilities the federal government should assume in this new technology.
