Foreign capital accelerates its inflow into China’s high-tech industry

Latest data from China's Ministry of Commerce show that from January to July this year, foreign investment in China's high-tech industries continued to grow rapidly, with its share of total actual foreign investment in the country rising significantly compared to last year, further optimizing the investment structure. From January to July this year, the actual amount of foreign investment used nationwide reached 438.33 billion yuan, with over 37,000 newly established foreign-invested enterprises, an increase of 4.4% year-on-year. By sector, the manufacturing industry used 109.43 billion yuan in actual foreign investment, while the service industry used 319.95 billion yuan. High-tech industries used 182.31 billion yuan in actual foreign investment, an increase of 32.7% year-on-year, accounting for 41.6% of the national actual foreign investment, a 12.2 percentage point increase over the same period last year. Among them, R&D and design services, scientific and technological achievement transformation services, and electronic and communication equipment manufacturing all maintained rapid growth in actual foreign investment.
