Greece’s current account deficit narrowed to 603 million euros in June, hitting a nine-month low

(1) Greece's current account deficit in June narrowed sharply from 1.195 billion euros in the same period last year to 603 million euros, the lowest level since September 2025. The goods account deficit shrank from 3.163 billion euros to 2.615 billion euros, with exports growing by 27.5%, far exceeding the 7.3% increase in imports. (2) The primary income deficit narrowed significantly from 1.128 billion euros to 845 million euros; the services account surplus fell from 3.366 billion euros to 3.242 billion euros, and the secondary account deficit widened from 270 million euros to 386 million euros. In the first half of this year, the current account deficit expanded from 8.498 billion euros in the same period last year to 9.539 billion euros.
