- According to vessel tracking data, the number of commodity vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday saw a slight rebound compared to the weekend, but remained in the single digits. A total of six vessels transited the strait that day—three exiting the Persian Gulf and three entering—below the 10-day daily average of 11 vessels. Over the weekend, three vessels passed on Saturday and only two on Sunday.
- No Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) or liquefied natural gas vessels crossed the strait during this period; some ships may have turned off their transponders and were thus not included in the statistics. One very large liquefied gas carrier entered the strait on ballast via the Iranian route; additionally, a medium-range product tanker and a long-range oil tanker entered the Persian Gulf, while a medium liquefied petroleum gas carrier, a Panamax bulk carrier, and a Panamax product tanker exited.
- On the Bab-el-Mandeb side of the Red Sea, a total of 19 commodity vessels passed through on Monday, down from 33 on Sunday and below the 10-day moving average of 26 vessels. Of these, 14 vessels left the Red Sea, including the Very Large Crude Carrier "Nounes" carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil; five entered, two of which were product tankers. Among them, the "Portofino" was loaded with diesel, destined for markets west of Suez.
