Elon Musk launches X Money for Premium and Premium+ subscribers in the United States
Odaily reported that Elon Musk has launched X Money as a financial feature to turn X into the "everything app." X Money is being rolled out to Premium and Premium+ subscribers in the United States, offering users up to 6% interest rates. Recently, Musk stated that as robots and AI provide goods and services beyond what humans can consume, money will "no longer be important" by 2036. He previously described energy as the "real currency" and noted that Bitcoin is based on energy. SpaceX and Tesla hold 18,712 Bitcoins and 11,509 Bitcoins respectively, with a combined value of nearly $2 billion at a Bitcoin price of approximately $65,000. Musk has not yet confirmed whether X Money will include Bitcoin or cryptocurrency functionality.
