Neumora Therapeutics Shares Rise on Positive Obesity Drug Results
Dow Jones2026/07/27 14:23By Katherine Hamilton
Neumora Therapeutics shares rose after the company shared favorable results from a product being designed to treat obesity.
The stock advanced 6% to $1.58 on Monday. Shares are down 5% this year.
The oral inhibitor NMRA-215 was tested in a 13-week toxicology study of 162 rats. No instances of unexpected adverse findings were observed during the trial.
This comes after a study of 142 rats resulted in unexpected adverse findings in five animals.
Given the latest results, in combination with results from dog trials, Neumora believes the adverse findings in the earlier study weren't related to NMRA-215.
The company plans to submit an investigational new drug application for NMRA-215 in the fourth quarter of this year.
