AMD (AMD.US) steadily competes for the AI chip market! After expanding cooperation with Microsoft, it has secured a multibillion-dollar deal with Anthropic.

According to Golden Ten Data, AMD (AMD.US) and Anthropic announced on Wednesday that they have reached a multi-billion dollar chip and investment cooperation agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Anthropic will begin deploying up to 2 gigawatts (GW) of AMD MI450 artificial intelligence accelerators in the first half of 2027. The developer of the Claude AI model will use AMD’s Helios rack-level solution, which includes the MI455X GPU, platforms equipped with AMD EPYC Venice CPUs, Pensando networking solutions, and ROCm software. In addition, AMD stated it will invest up to 5 billion US dollars in Anthropic in the future.
