Citi hires five senior technology investment bankers to drive business growth

Glonghui, July 22 — Citigroup has recruited five senior investment bankers in the U.S. technology sector to expand its operations and compete for global market share. According to an internal memo, Chris Grosse will join Citigroup from Bank of America to cover payment, fintech, and digital asset sectors. He will start working in New York in September. In addition, Citigroup will add other senior bankers in San Francisco to develop its North American technology business. Florian Plath, Dhruv Fotadar, and Anand Agarwal will join in August from JPMorgan Chase & Co., while Josh Sheets is coming from UBS Group AG. Plath will focus on software and semiconductor companies, Fotadar will cover enterprise infrastructure clients in software and artificial intelligence, Agarwal will focus on semiconductor and AI companies, and Sheets will strengthen Citigroup’s coverage in the software sector. According to the memo, all new members will join Citigroup as managing directors. A Citigroup spokesperson has confirmed the contents of the memo.
