Thames Water seeks another water bill increase as the UK's new Prime Minister promises reforms

Thames Water is seeking another increase in household water rates in the UK to fund a reservoir project in southeast England. After being approved to raise bills by about one third, the troubled utility company has again submitted a price hike application to the regulator Ofwat. Despite criticism from local residents, Thames Water says it still requires additional funds to build a £2.4 billion reservoir and a water recycling treatment plant.
