Macquarie: US Crypto Framework May Be Established in Early 2026

Macquarie stated that bipartisan Senate negotiations on market structure legislation and GENIUS Act rulemaking could deliver a viable U.S. crypto framework by early 2026. The Senate Agriculture Committee's draft bill to grant the CFTC more authority over digital commodities is advancing in parallel, with alignment expected in 2026. Macquarie expects regulators to finalize the GENIUS Act and stablecoin rules on a similar timeline.
