On December 5, the assets managed by BlackRock's IBIT exceeded $50 billion, achieved in just 228 days, five times faster than any other ETF in history. Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said that in comparison, the previous record holder, BlackRock's iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF (IEFA), took 1,329 days to reach the same asset amount.
