Justin Drake, Ethernet Foundation Member: Long-Term Plan is to Expand L1 EVM Implementation with SNARK
Justin Drake, a member of the Ethernet Foundation, answers the question “Are there any plans to further extend Ethernet Layer 1?” in the AMA. question.
Justin Drake said, “The elegant plan for long term sustainability is to scale L1 EVM execution on SNARKs without limits. With real-time L1 EVM SNARKing, verifiers can validate cheap SNARKs instead of re-executing EVM transactions. In addition to the vertical scaling benefits of dramatically increasing the L1 EVM Gas limit, there is also the opportunity to use EVM-in-EVM precompilation for arbitrary horizontal scaling to inexpensively validate EVM execution within EVMs.
