Google has been sued for $5 million over a malicious crypto wallet app that hit its app store, according to Crypto Times. The app led to the theft of $5 million in digital assets from user Maria Vaca, raising serious concerns about the security and vetting process of the Google Play store. Vaca has filed a lawsuit against Google in California state court, alleging negligence for allowing such dangerous apps on its platform.
