ZKsync: There are no major problems with the airdrop design, but the communication of details is not clear enough

ZKsync has once again posted on the community account ZK Nation, stating that airdrop distribution is extremely challenging. Complex "airdrop factories" operate millions of robot addresses, and the behavior patterns of these robots are hard to distinguish from real people. This makes traditional interaction-based airdrops completely useless for building resilient and sustainable communities.

ZK Nation added that our airdrop design has imperfections, but we believe we have made reasonable trade-offs. We also realize that many people are frustrated because they received fewer tokens than expected. We take this very seriously and spent several nights studying reports, repeatedly checking data to understand the full picture and eliminate any possible errors. Although no major issues were found, we also realized that our communication about the details of the airdrop design was not clear enough. To solve this problem, we have developed an initial set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and are preparing a more systematic way for the community to collect feedback and prioritize it in order to answer remaining questions in as transparent a manner as possible.

Dozens of ecosystem projects have pledged to distribute their tokens to the community, with nearly 50% of total token supply still reserved for them. The collection of these air drops will begin on June 17th.
