Karman Space & Defense Signs $218 Million THAAD Agreement With Lockheed Martin

08:19 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Karman Space & Defense (KRMN) said Tuesday that it signed a seven-year, $218 million agreement with Lockheed Martin (LMT) to manufacture shrouds for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptor. The deal supports increased production capacity amid rising demand for missile defense systems, it said. The protective structures shield interceptor components from aerodynamic forces and environmental conditions during launch and flight, the company said. Karman said that the agreement, signed Sept. 29, was one of three long-term deals under negotiation shared during its Aug. 6 Q2 earnings call.
