U.S. corn futures have fallen for a sixth consecutive trading day, marking the longest losing streak since March 2025. Supply pressures from the harvest season, along with weak export performance, have prompted hedge funds to rapidly sell off corn futures positions. The most actively traded corn contract on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) once fell by 0.5%, hitting its lowest level since August 12. At the same time, U.S. corn export inspections dropped nearly 50% week-on-week to 672,500 tons. So far this market year, cumulative U.S. corn sales are down 2.3% year-on-year. According to the U.S. crop progress and condition report, the U.S. corn harvest rate has reached 44%. The continued increase in supply has further intensified downward pressure on corn prices.
