Futures copy trading upgrade notice: Automatic migration to the new futures elite portfolio starting November 1

Starting November 1, Bitget will begin automatically upgrading users of legacy classic futures copy trading, including elite traders and copiers. The upgrade will be completed silently in the background. No manual action is required, but you should check certain copy trading settings and funds as soon as the upgrade is complete.

Please read the following information and prepare before the upgrade.

When will my account be upgraded?

The system will automatically initiate the upgrade when your account has no open positions or open orders and you have not opened or closed any positions that day. If you have open positions or orders at the time, your account will be skipped and processed during a subsequent check.

The upgrade will be rolled out in batches starting November 1. You will receive an in-app message once your upgrade is complete.

Will my copy trading funds remain after the upgrade?

This depends on your copy trading type:

How funds will be handled

Classic sub-account copiers	The full balance of your legacy classic futures copy trading account will be automatically transferred to your new futures elite portfolio copy trading account. You can continue copy trading immediately without transferring the funds again.
Diverse Follow copy trading through a classic main account/sub-account (copying multiple elite traders simultaneously)	Funds will not be transferred automatically.After the upgrade, your new futures elite portfolio copy trading account balance will be 0. You will need to decide whether to manually transfer funds to the new copy trading account.

Which copy trading settings will be retained automatically, and which must be reconfigured?

Settings migrated automatically (no action required)

Copy trading pair preferences (selected trading pairs will be retained)

Auto copy for newly listed trading pairs (the toggle status will be retained)

Leverage settings (up to 10×; settings above 10× will be adjusted to 10×)

Entry slippage (existing settings will be mapped directly)

Settings that cannot be migrated automatically and must be reconfigured after the upgrade

Take-profit and stop-loss ratios: The new futures elite portfolio does not currently support this feature. This setting will be cleared after the upgrade. Please watch for the feature's release and reconfigure it once available.

Equity Guardian (automatic stop-loss protection): This feature is not yet available for the new futures elite portfolio. You will need to wait until it becomes available again before reconfiguring it.

After receiving the in-app message confirming completion of the upgrade, we recommend that you immediately go to the Copy trading settings page and verify that all settings meet your expectations.

Will my copy trading mode change after the upgrade?

Your copy trading mode will be automatically mapped to the new futures elite portfolio as follows:

What if I am copying more than 10 elite traders at the same time?

This system upgrade will migrate all your legacy classic futures copy trading relationships to the new futures elite portfolio, regardless of the limit of 10 copy trading plans.

However, after the upgrade is complete, if you want to start copying additional traders, you must first reduce the number of active copy trading plans to 10 or fewer.

Can I manage my copy trades during the upgrade?

During the upgrade, the Stop copying function will be temporarily locked, and the page will display: "Elite trader upgrade in progress. Please try again later." The function will be unlocked automatically once the upgrade is complete.

Because the upgrade can only be initiated when your account has no open positions, you will not be exposed to position-related risk during this period.

How will I know when the upgrade is complete?

The system will automatically send you an in-app message confirming that the upgrade is complete, along with a link to the copy trading details page for the new futures elite portfolio.

Classic sub-account copiers: After receiving the message, you can go directly to the copy trading details page for the new futures elite portfolio to review your settings. Your funds will already have been transferred automatically.

Diverse Follow copiers using a main account/sub-account: After receiving the message, please go to the copy trading details page for the new futures elite portfolio as soon as possible and manually transfer your copy trading funds.
