The Philadelphia Housing Index was fractionally higher, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) rose 0.1%. Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 1.2% to $81,099, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 2.5 basis points to 5.11%. In corporate news, Travelers' (TRV) Q3 earnings and net written premiums unexpectedly increased year over year, although the property and casualty insurer incurred higher catastrophe losses. Its shares rose 0.4%.
