01:18 PM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were mixed Friday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index up 0.1% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) decreasing 0.3%. The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) dropped 2.6%. In corporate news, Erasca (ERAS) shares fell 10% after the company said Chief Operating Officer Nicholas Chetwyn will depart, effective Nov. 2. The move is part of efforts to streamline its reporting structure and realign leadership roles.
