07:50 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia (NVDA) Chief Executive Jensen Huang said he would consider halting chip supplies to customers developing unsafe artificial intelligence (AI), Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing an interview. Huang said Nvidia would first discuss concerns with customers, noting its technology is general-purpose. He also said fears about AI safety were part of the industry's rapid growth and that AI could help monitor and contain the technology, Bloomberg reported. Nvidia is donating $250 million over five years to support UK research into AI safety, including work at Oxford and University College London. Huang also said demand for AI infrastructure would continue to exceed component supply for years, Bloomberg reported.
