05:35 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vanda Pharmaceuticals' (VNDA) late-stage study of the VQW-765 candidate to treat acute anxiety in adults with social anxiety disorder did not meet its primary endpoint, it said late Wednesday. The primary endpoint was the distress level during the performance phase of a stress test in the female population. The results showed no statistically significant difference from those who received placebo, according to a statement. The VQW-765 program is on hold pending further analysis, the company said. Shares of Vanda Pharmaceuticals fell 5% during after-hours trading.
