Netcapital Shares Gain After Regaining Nasdaq Minimum Bid Compliance
Dow Jones2026/10/14 21:27By Katherine Hamilton
Netcapital shares rose after the company regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement.
The stock jumped 37% to $2.19 in after-hours trading Wednesday. Through the close, shares had more than doubled this year.
The Boston-based financial technology company said it received a letter from Nasdaq on Oct. 7 with news it had regained compliance with the listing rule.
Nasdaq determined that the closing bid price of Netcapital's stock was $1 a share or more for greater than 10 consecutive business days, from Sept. 23 to Oct. 6. The non-compliance issue was first identified on Feb. 4.
Netcapital is also out of compliance with a separate Nasdaq listing rule because it hasn't yet filed its annual report for the fiscal year ended in April, as well as its latest quarterly report. The company said it plans to submit a plan to regain compliance by Oct. 23, and file late reports as soon as practicable.
Netcapital said it engaged Adeptus Partners to audit its financial statements for 2022 through 2026 in order to complete restatements of prior financial statements that should no longer be relied upon.
Adeptus has been brought on after Fruci & Associates resigned as auditors in August.
