Lakefront Biotherapeutics Sells Preclinical CAR-T Programs to Armed Cell Therapeutics

04:23 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Lakefront Biotherapeutics (LKFT) said late Wednesday it has completed the sale of its early-stage cell therapy pipeline to Belgium-based biotechnology firm Armed Cell Therapeutics. The terms of the agreement include an upfront payment of 8 million euros ($8.9 million), potential milestone payments of up to $230 million and a low-single-digit royalty to Lakefront, the company said. The transferred preclinical assets consist of multi-targeting and armed CAR-T constructs meant to improve the potency and persistence of CAR-Ts and prevent cancer treatment resistance in hematological and solid tumors of high unmet need.
