Sector Update: Healthcare

03:34 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were higher late Wednesday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) each adding 2.5%. The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) climbed 1.8%. In corporate news, Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (RARE) said Wednesday it has agreed to sell a rare pediatric disease priority review voucher for $203 million, subject to customary closing conditions and an antitrust waiting period. Its shares fell marginally.
