GoldCoast Awaiting Clarification on Status of Offshore Licenses in Ghana

02:21 PM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GoldCoast Resource (GCR.CN) said on Wednesday that it is awaiting clarification from the Ghanian government on the status of 10 offshore reconnaissance licenses. The company believes that the licenses remain in "full force and in good standing" and that they have not been revoked or terminated. GoldCoast did not explain why it should be awaiting clarification, but it has requested that trading in its shares be halted. GoldCoast shares last traded Oct. 13 when they closed at CA$0.45 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
