New Aurora Metals to Begin IP Survey at Urban Barry Property

11:17 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- New Aurora Metals (NAME.CN) will start a ground induced polarization (IP) geophysical survey, which will be its first phase exploration program on the Urban Barry Property in the Eeyou-Istchee Baie-James territory of the Nord du Quebec region, it said Wednesday. The IP survey, expected to begin on Oct. 17, is anticipated to include 21 line-kilometer of surveying and will focus on further defining six conductors previously identified through a 2016 VLF-EM survey at the Urban Barry Property, said the company. The company's first phase exploration program is "intended to be a small 500 m diamond drill program", said New Aurora Metals. "Due to challenging ground conditions and difficulties in securing a drilling contractor, the Company has elected to undertake an IP survey as an alternative exploration program at the Urban Barry Property," added the company. The company's shares last traded Oct. 13, closing at CA$0.96 on the Canadian Securities Exchange.
