Evolus Signs Option Agreement With Company Developing Injectable Treatment for Hair Restoration

10:15 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Evolus (EOLS) has signed an option agreement with an undisclosed company that is developing a novel, procedure-based, sustained-release injectable treatment for hair restoration, it said Wednesday. Under the terms, Evolus will make an initial option payment of $1.5 million, with additional option payments tied to the achievement of program milestones. Additionally, Evolus will have the option, but not the obligation, to acquire 100% of the assets related to the program, it said. Evolus added that the program will have no impact on the company's previously communicated revenue or profitability outlook. The program is expected to remain in formulation development through 2027, with first-in-human clinical development anticipated to start thereafter, according to a statement.
