EuroDry Places $37 Million Order for Kamsarmax Bulk Carrier

10:09 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- EuroDry (EDRY) has signed a $37 million contract with Hengli Shipbuilding to construct an 82,000-deadweight tonnage Kamsarmax bulk carrier, it said Wednesday. The vessel, designed to comply with EEDI phase 3 energy-efficiency standards, is scheduled for delivery in Q3 of 2029, the company said. EuroDry said the purchase will be funded through a combination of debt and equity and is conditional on receiving a refund guarantee from a bank acceptable to the company.
