Ultragenyx Sells Rare Pediatric Disease Priority Review Voucher for $203 Million

09:08 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (RARE) said Wednesday it has agreed to sell a rare pediatric disease priority review voucher for $203 million, subject to customary closing conditions and an antitrust waiting period. The voucher came with US approval of Fayuvi, the first treatment cleared for the rare childhood disorder Sanfilippo syndrome type A, the company said. Such vouchers are granted by the US Food and Drug Administration and can be sold or redeemed to speed up a regulatory review of a different drug.
