07:25 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Wall Street futures were mixed and muted pre-bell Wednesday as traders weighed a benchmark tech sector earnings report, monitored rising crude prices and awaited an official inflation report. Shares of ASML (ASML) fell 0.3% pre-bell after the Dutch semiconductor equipment maker reported fiscal Q3 earnings above expectations, but missed on revenue, and issued guidance roughly in line with analyst outlooks. In the futures, the S&P 500 rose 0.1%, the Nasdaq declined 0.2% and the Dow Jones was up 0.3%. The consumer price index report for September is slated for an 8:30 am ET release in Washington, sure to be parsed for clues to the nation's inflation picture. West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded up 1.6% at $95.62, and 10-year US Treasuries offered 5.20% in morning action. The VanEck Semiconductor Fund (SMH) traded down 0.9% pre-bell. BlackRock (BLK) traded up 5% pre-bell after the asset manager reported Q3 earnings and revenue above expectations in morning release. Bank of America traded down 4% pre-bell after the bank reported Q3 earnings and income below outlooks in premarket hours. Asian exchanges traded mixed and muted overnight, while European bourses tracked moderately north midday on the continent. On the economic calendar, in addition to the CPI release is the Beige Book release from the Federal Reserve, a compendium of business and economic reports from the 12 regional banks. Federal Reserve Vice Chair Michelle Bowman and Richmond President Thomas Barkin are slated to speak on Wednesday. In premarket action, Bitcoin traded at $83,320, and spot gold commanded $4,141 an ounce.
