Ocugen Signs MENA Licensing Deal for OCU400

07:13 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ocugen (OCGN) said Wednesday that it signed a licensing agreement with Roots Pharmaceutical and Al-Dhow International for exclusive Middle East and North Africa rights to its OCU400 gene therapy for retinitis pigmentosa. Ocugen said it could receive up to $4 million in development milestones, $255 million in sales milestones and 22% royalties on net sales. The company said it will manufacture commercial supplies. Phase 3 trial results are expected in Q1 2027, ahead of planned global regulatory submissions, it added.
