01:07 PM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks rose Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) each adding 0.3%. The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was shedding 1%. In corporate news, Steris (STE) shares added 2.8% after it said Monday its STERIS Corp. unit agreed to buy specialty surgical products company Xodus Medical and some affiliates for $2.1 billion at closing.
