Mirum Pharmaceuticals Says Livmarli Meets Primary Endpoint in Phase 3 Liver Disease Trial

08:43 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Mirum Pharmaceuticals (MIRM) said Monday topline results from a phase 3 trial of Livmarli for cholestatic pruritus in patients with ultra-rare cholestatic liver diseases met the primary endpoint. The study showed a statistically significant reduction in itching severity compared with placebo in pediatric patients, with a placebo-adjusted improvement of 0.98 points on the average worst-daily ItchRO(Obs) severity score, it said. The treatment also reduced serum bile acids by 69% compared with placebo, Mirum said. In the subgroup of patients with biliary atresia, Livmarli also significantly reduced itching compared with placebo, the company said. Shares of Mirum Pharmaceuticals were over 5% higher in Monday premarket activity.
