07:25 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) said Monday that the third phase of its ALOFT-IPF trial evaluating admilparant in adults with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis met its primary endpoint at the 60 mg dose. The company said a 60 mg dose of admilparant showed a statistically significant benefit in absolute change in forced vital capacity from baseline to 52 weeks compared with placebo. The drug also demonstrated a favorable safety and tolerability profile across the 60 mg and 120 mg doses, with discontinuations due to adverse events low and similar to placebo, the company said. The 120-milligram dose slowed the decline in lung function, but the result was not statistically significant, Bristol Myers Squibb said. Bristol-Myers Squibb said it will comprehensively evaluate trial data and engage with health authorities before making regulatory submissions. Shares of the company were up over 4% in Monday's premarket activity.
