07:03 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Wall Street futures were mixed and muted pre-bell Monday as traders awaited the start of earnings season and weighed lofty global crude prices and bond yields. In futures, the S&P 500 rose 0.1%, the Nasdaq declined 0.2%, and the Dow Jones was off 0.01%. West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded up 0.9% at $92.69 in morning action. The VanEck Semiconductor Fund (SMH) traded down 0.7% pre-bell. Among others, corporate giants JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Goldman Sachs (GS), Wells Fargo (WFC), Citigroup (C), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) and UnitedHealth (UNH) will report earnings on Tuesday pre-bell, to tee off the earnings season. Investors this week also look forward to the September consumer price index bulletin from Washington on Wednesday, followed by the producer price report on Thursday. Asian exchanges traded choppily overnight, with trading floors in Tokyo dark on holiday. European bourses tracked moderately north at midday on the continent. On the thin economic calendar, Federal Reserve Cleveland President Beth Hammack is slated to speak on Monday. In pre-market action, Bitcoin traded at $83,415, and spot gold commanded $4,177 an ounce.
