06:52 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ethan Allen Interiors (ETD) on Monday urged shareholders to vote for its five board nominees over those proposed by activist investor DGB at the upcoming annual meeting. The home furnishings retailer in a letter said DGB is seeking "control of the company" but has not presented an operating plan or capital allocation strategy to support its growth proposals. Ethan Allen, which is in the process of selecting a new CEO, added that changing the board during an active CEO transition creates "unnecessary risk." The company is set to have its annual shareholder meeting on Nov. 4.
