Freenome Reports Improved Precancerous Lesion Detection in Updated Blood Test

04:08 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Freenome (FRNM) said Sunday the study of its updated version of SimpleScreen CRC blood test detected advanced precancerous lesions with 18.2% sensitivity, up from 13.7% in the original study. The company said the sensitivity for lesions with high-grade dysplasia improved to 41.9% from 30.5%. The test showed 80.4% sensitivity for colorectal cancer and 90% specificity among people with no findings on colonoscopy, the company added. Freenome said detection improved across all types of advanced precancerous lesions.
