Russia to Lift Diesel Export Ban Ahead of Schedule
On October 10, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak announced that Russia will immediately begin lifting restrictions on diesel exports, ahead of the original schedule. He stated that in October, Russia is willing to supply an additional 300,000 tons of diesel to the United States and all partners, increasing to 500,000 tons in November and 1 million tons in December. Novak also pointed out that the Russian market will be fully supplied with diesel. Previously, the Russian government had decided to extend the export ban on diesel, marine fuel, and gas oil products until October 31.
