🔥 Bitget US Stock Hot-Topic Strike|2026.10.07 Theme: AI infrastructure hits fresh records|Chip capacity · Nuclear PPAs · Optical interconnect guidance · SpaceX compute financing image 0

1. S&P 500 and Nasdaq close at new highs

US stocks rose for a fourth straight session on October 6. The S&P 500 closed at 7,818.93, up 0.58%, topping 7,800 for the first time and marking its first record since mid-August. The Nasdaq closed at 27,599.79, up 0.45%, extending its record run. The Dow added 253 points to 51,521. The 10-year Treasury yield eased from multi-year highs, oil stabilized, and utilities led. Q3 earnings start next week. LSEG expects S&P 500 earnings growth of about 30.6% year over year, with tech up about 66.5%.

🎯 Beneficiaries: NVDA, MSFT, QQQ; Key catalyst: Record closes plus the earnings window keep flows concentrated in AI heavyweights.

2. Nvidia nears $6 trillion as SpaceX seeks chip financing

Nvidia hit another intraday all-time high, with market cap briefly near $5.84 trillion, close to the $6 trillion mark. Morgan Stanley reinstated it as the top semiconductor pick. The Financial Times reported that SpaceX is in talks with banks and investors on about $40 billion of financing (roughly $10 billion in bank loans and $30 billion in investment-grade debt, led by Apollo, with Pimco among firms in discussions) to buy Nvidia chips. Talks are early-stage and a close is expected in 2027.

🎯 Beneficiaries: NVDA, SPCX, APO; Key catalyst: Hyperscale compute orders and the valuation milestone are moving together.

3. AMD: demand still ahead of supply, big 2027 capacity ramp

AMD CEO Lisa Su said in Taipei on October 6 that 2026 capacity has already been raised, but demand still exceeds supply. The company will “substantially” increase supply in 2027 through TSMC and the packaging and substrate chain, and has stretched planning to three to five years. The more than $10 billion Taiwan commitment announced in May is on track, with more investment planned. AMD closed at a record, up about 2.8% to $649.42. Citi lifted its price target from $575 to $800, citing agentic AI driving compute demand.

🎯 Beneficiaries: AMD, TSM; Key catalyst: Multi-year supply-gap narrative; watch TSMC advanced-node and advanced-packaging slots.

4. Marvell raises data-center guidance at Investor Day

At its Investor Day, Marvell lifted its fiscal 2028 revenue target from about $18 billion to about $20 billion, above the roughly $18.2 billion consensus, and set a first fiscal 2031 range of $70–90 billion. Management highlighted custom silicon, scale-up networking, and 800G/1.6T optical interconnect demand. The stock rose about 6%. Broadcom gained about 3.7% in the same session.

🎯 Beneficiaries: MRVL, AVGO; Key catalyst: Raised data-center custom-silicon and optical-connectivity guidance; watch whether volume follows through.

5. Google signs a 3.59 GW power deal with Constellation

Google contracted about 3,590 MW from Constellation. A 20-year PPA covers 890 MW of nuclear uprates across 11 units in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey inside PJM. Constellation will invest more than $4.3 billion, with first power expected in 2028. A separate 15-year agreement covers 2,700 MW of PJM supply. Google will also deploy Gemini Enterprise in plant operations. Constellation rose as much as about 14% intraday; nuclear peers Vistra and Talen followed. The deal follows last week’s roughly 690 MW Constellation–Amazon nuclear agreement.

🎯 Beneficiaries: CEG, VST, TLN; Key catalyst: Data-center power shortfall turning into long-term nuclear PPAs; watch uprate delivery timing.

Trading note: The AI infrastructure theme is extending from chip capacity into optical interconnects and nuclear PPAs. After the index records, flows remain concentrated in NVDA, AMD, MRVL, and the power chain. The SpaceX financing is still in talks, so wait for terms. If Treasury yields or oil spike again, high-valuation trades will swing harder — size positions accordingly.

Borrow another 40 billion USD, SpaceX plans to buy Nvidia chips

After completing a $25 billion investment-grade bond issuance in June, SpaceX now plans to raise $40 billion, with $30 billion to be issued as investment-grade bonds and $10 billion coming from bank loans. The funds will be used for large-scale procurement of NVIDIA chips. Elon Musk has confirmed the adoption of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin architecture. Apollo will lead this round of financing, as demand for massive funding of AI infrastructure continues to rise.

S&P 500 Hits a New High, but Gains Are Mostly Driven by AI Trading

Although US stocks have reached historic highs, the market is severely polarized, with gains heavily reliant on AI-driven tech giants. Under macro pressures such as Federal Reserve rate hikes, high US Treasury yields, and elevated oil prices, funds view cash-rich tech giants as safe havens, resulting in broad pressure on small-cap stocks and traditional sectors. Despite technical risks, this narrow-range rally continues to temporarily support the broader market.
