European barge freight rates remain steady, multiple route prices released

(2) The route from the east coast of the UK to Portugal was quoted at approximately 24 euros/ton, to Oldenburg about 19 euros/ton, and to the northern coast of Spain around 21 euros/ton. (3) From German Baltic Sea ports to Algeciras, rates were around 21 euros/ton, to Portugal about 31 euros/ton, to the west coast of Italy approximately 52 euros/ton, and to Greece about 70 euros/ton. (4) From the German Baltic Sea to the UK east coast, UK west coast, and northern coast of Spain, quotes were roughly 22, 27, and 27 euros/ton respectively, and to the southern coast of Spain about 37 euros/ton. (5) In inland river dry bulk transport, the lowest quote for 1200-ton vessels showed rates from Brunswick to the ARA (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp) region at about 23 euros/ton, from Hamburg to ARA at about 29 euros/ton, and from Hannover to ARA at roughly 21.5 euros/ton. (6) From Rotterdam to Duisburg was quoted at about 12.5 euros/ton, to Cologne approximately 15 euros/ton, to Kehl/Strasbourg around 25 euros/ton, and to Basel about 28 euros/ton. (7) From Rotterdam to Frankfurt, the rate was roughly 20 euros/ton, to Würzburg about 25 euros/ton, to Nuremberg about 26.5 euros/ton, and to Stuttgart around 25 euros/ton. (8) The lowest quoted rate among the listed routes was from Rotterdam to Algeciras at about 10.5 euros/ton; to Hamburg about 26 euros/ton, to Magdeburg roughly 23 euros/ton, and to Mainz about 18 euros/ton.
