US Stock Market Movement | Major Tech Stocks Generally Rise, Tesla (TSLA.US) Up Over 5%
Tesla's third-quarter delivery volume exceeded Wall Street expectations.
According to Zhihu Finance APP, on Friday, major tech stocks generally rose. As of press time, Tesla (TSLA.US) was up over 5%, Google (GOOG.US, GOOGL.US) rose over 2%, AMD (AMD.US) and Broadcom (AVGO.US) increased by more than 3%, Amazon (AMZN.US) gained over 1.7%, and Meta (META.US) was up more than 1%. In terms of news, Tesla announced third-quarter delivery numbers that exceeded Wall Street expectations, thanks to a recovery in sales this year in Europe after last year’s sluggish performance. Tesla delivered 486,532 vehicles in the third quarter, above the average analyst estimate of 456,896. These figures suggest that after two consecutive years of annual sales decline, Tesla’s core automotive business may be stabilizing. In the fourth quarter, Tesla needs to deliver at least 311,448 vehicles to avoid a third consecutive year of annual delivery decline. Analysts expect Tesla’s gradual rollout of the Full Self-Driving (FSD) software in Europe will further boost sales growth. Currently, FSD has been approved for use in 8 countries.
