SUI Tests Channel Support After Sharp Rally

  • SUI price faces channel support after rejecting $1.30, while MACD remains positive despite the latest daily decline.
  • RSI remains elevated near 69, showing strong momentum, while the latest pullback lowers pressure near the recent highs.
  • CME offers SUI and Micro SUI futures, adding regulated derivatives alongside spot markets and the network’s growing DeFi ecosystem.

SUI price remains under pressure after a strong advance, while momentum indicators stay constructive. The latest decline now tests important support within the established rising channel.

SUI Pullback Tests Rising Channel Support

The Sui Community post connects the token with CME’s regulated futures expansion. It says SUI and Micro SUI futures are now available through CME Group. That development adds derivatives infrastructure alongside Sui’s decentralized finance ecosystem.

The daily chart shows a strong advance from roughly $0.67. Price climbed steadily before accelerating toward the $1.30 area. The move established a clear rising channel across the latest rally.

The latest candle showed a high around $1.2911 before sellers stepped forward. Price then fell toward approximately $1.1771 during the session. That rejection created the sharpest pullback seen within the recent advance.

SUI as of writing trades at $1.18 on the displayed chart. The session shows a decline of approximately 6.25% from the previous close. That move places price near the lower portion of the rising structure.

Momentum Remains Positive Despite Recent Selling

The MACD remains firmly above its signal line on the daily timeframe. The MACD line stands near 0.1157, while the signal reads approximately 0.0755. The histogram also remains positive near 0.0402 across the latest readings.

This shows bullish momentum has not completely disappeared during the pullback. However, momentum indicators usually respond slower than direct price movements. Therefore, continued selling could eventually weaken the current MACD structure.

RSI currently reads approximately 68.71 on the displayed indicator. The indicator recently moved above 70 before turning lower again. That movement shows strong momentum alongside growing short-term cooling.

The price structure remains the more immediate technical reference now. The lower channel boundary sits close to the recent pullback area. Holding that trendline would preserve the sequence of higher lows.

CME Futures Add Another Market Structure Layer

CME launched SUI futures and Micro SUI futures on May 4, 2026. The standard contract represents 50,000 SUI units, while Micro covers 5,000. Both contracts settle against CME CF SUI-Dollar Reference Rates.

The derivatives market remains separate from direct spot ownership. Futures can provide standardized exposure without requiring direct token delivery. They can also support hedging and portfolio exposure management.

CME reported 253 estimated SUI futures contracts on September 25. Prior-day open interest stood at 366 contracts across listed maturities. The October contract accounted for 252 reported volume contracts that session.

These figures show the contracts have developed measurable market activity. Yet the technical chart remains focused on the $1.20 region. A sustained recovery above that area could stabilize the latest decline.

The immediate resistance remains near the recent $1.29-$1.30 peak. A stronger recovery would need to reclaim the lost ground first. Meanwhile, a deeper break could expose lower support around the breakout zone.
