Shares are down in the company that produces FICO scores after a top housing official said late yesterday that federal housing agencies would begin to also rely on a different company-VantageScore-to evaluate borrowers' credit worthiness.

Stock in Fair Isaac Corporation, the company behind the FICO scores used by mortgage lenders, have opened some 20% lower after a social-media post from Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte saying that federal mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac would be "moving to ONE PRICING GRID with VantageScore joining the existing FICO Classic pricing grid."
