According to Jinzhitong Finance APP, on Friday, the US stock market's artificial intelligence sector generally rose, with Arm (ARM.US) up over 4%, Dell Technologies (DELL.US) up over 3%, and Super Micro Computer (SMCI.US), Micron Technology (MU.US), and others up more than 2%. As demand for artificial intelligence hardware drives the overall strength of the semiconductor sector, investors are focusing on AI-driven CPU demand. Meta Platforms revealed that its Muse AI agent has seen rapid adoption in CPU-based inference workloads. Arm's CPU designs are regarded as the key foundation for handling AI inference at Muse's scale, further underscoring the company's significance in broader AI infrastructure discussions.
In addition, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) released its latest annual report, citing external estimates that this year, global artificial intelligence (AI) investment led by the private sector could exceed $2 trillion. The report noted that AI-related technology investment is estimated to boost US GDP growth by 0.5 percentage points in 2025, and the acceleration of US productivity in recent years also, to some extent, reflects the early positive impacts of AI adoption.
