09:18 AM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Healthcare stocks were mixed pre-bell Thursday, with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) down 0.2% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) up 0.3%. ACADIA Pharmaceuticals (ACAD) shares were down more than 5% after the company reported that its phase 2 RADIANT study of remlifanserin for Alzheimer's disease psychosis narrowly missed its primary endpoint. Mesoblast (MESO) stock was up more than 4% after the company said the US Food and Drug Administration approved a new potency assay, T-cell Proliferation Inhibition BioAssay, for release and stability monitoring of all new commercial Ryoncil lots. Viking Therapeutics (VKTX) shares were down more than 13% after the company priced concurrent public offerings of about 7.86 million common shares at $35 per share and $225 million of 2.00% convertible senior notes due 2032.
