Dogecoin is displaying renewed bullish momentum following a recovery above its monthly bullish pennant, according to recent technical analysis. Despite experiencing a sharp dip, the meme-inspired cryptocurrency quickly reversed losses, returning to the crucial continuation pattern that has recently defined its price action.
DOGE ETF inflows rise to $1.17 million as price rebounds after failed breakdown
Technical signals show cautious optimism
On September 23, crypto analyst Trader Tardigrade described the earlier breakdown of Dogecoin’s pennant as a false move driven by liquidity sweeps, where temporary dips can trigger stop-losses before prices rebound to their previous range. He emphasized that Dogecoin’s swift return to the pennant pattern indicates the underlying trend remains intact and could favor bulls if the token manages to break above the resistance line.
“The fact that DOGE has not remained below the formation and reclaimed its position suggests increased buying pressure,” the analyst stated, adding that the pattern’s continuity is now key for future movement.
Trader Tardigrade emphasized that the price’s recovery into the pennant maintains the broader bullish setup, with a breakout above the resistance line indicating fresh upward potential for DOGE.
A decisive close above the pennant’s upper boundary could confirm a new bullish phase, while a drop below the formation would undermine confidence in an immediate rally.
Key market metrics and technical levels
At the time of writing, Dogecoin (DOGE) trades at $0.04991 with a 24-hour trading volume of $2.94 billion, placing its market capitalization at $17.04 billion. The token is still down 5.23% over the past day, despite the recovery inside the pennant.
Technical indicators add further insight. Dogecoin was recently recorded trading at $0.09956, close to the upper Bollinger Band of $0.09972. The middle and lower bands sit at $0.08774 and $0.07577, respectively, indicating heightened volatility and movement above recent averages.
Meanwhile, the MACD—a trend-following momentum indicator—shows moderate optimism. Although the MACD line stands at 0.00156 against a slightly higher signal line value of 0.00198, recent positive histogram bars suggest early signs of bullish momentum. However, as the MACD line remains under the signal line, a definitive bullish confirmation has yet to materialize.
Mini dictionary: MACD, short for Moving Average Convergence Divergence, is a technical analysis tool that compares two moving averages of a cryptocurrency’s price. It generates signals based on the convergence or divergence of these averages to help identify trends and momentum shifts.
ETF inflows point to rising institutional demand
Beyond chart patterns, Dogecoin has captured investor attention due to notable ETF flows. Analyst Crypto Patel reported that spot Dogecoin ETFs in the United States recorded an inflow of 11.74 million DOGE on September 22, amounting to roughly $1.17 million. Comparable inflows were observed for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Zcash, Chainlink, and Avalanche ETFs.
Dogecoin’s ETF movement comes amid typically muted demand for such products in the U.S. market, marking a potential change in institutional sentiment. While single-day inflows don’t establish long-term trends, they highlight increased interest from regulated funds at a time when the crypto sector faces regulatory and market headwinds.
The $0.10 price region remains a psychological and technical benchmark as traders assess whether Dogecoin’s rebound within the pennant can transform into a sustained rally, with ETF flows offering an additional barometer of demand.
Outlook for Dogecoin now hinges on sustained technical support and ongoing ETF allocations. Positive flows in the coming sessions could reinforce emerging demand, while a return to low or negative allocations would reflect persistently weak interest from institutional players.
For now, Dogecoin remains in a technical crossroads, with traders closely monitoring for a decisive move above resistance or renewed bearish momentum.

U.S. Treasury plans to repurchase up to $6 billion in long-term bonds, 30-year yield hits highest since 2007
This is the second round of enhanced long-term bond buybacks by the Treasury, this time focusing on 20- to 30-year government bonds. After the announcement of the planned upper limit, the yield on 30-year U.S. Treasury bonds continued to rise, at one point exceeding 5.4%. In the first round of enhanced buybacks two weeks ago, the upper buyback target was also $6 billion, which was lower than some market participants had expected, and the actual buyback amounted to only $5.2 billion due to insufficient competitive bidding, according to the Treasury.
