European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Decline in Tuesday Trading

11:19 AM EDT, 09/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts Tuesday were tracking lower Tuesday morning, declining 0.35% to 1,924.21 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index. From continental Europe, the gainers were led by biotech firms BioNTech (BNTX) and Evaxion (EVAX), which climbed 3.8% and 2.9%, respectively. They were followed by medical device maker EDAP TMS (FOCL) and biopharmaceutical firm Cellectis (CLLS), which advanced 2.2% and 2%, respectively. The decliners from continental Europe were led by telecommunications companies Ericsson (ERIC) and Nokia (NOK), which dropped 4.5% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company Sequans Communications (SQNS) and lender ING (ING), which fell 2.4% and 1.4% respectively. The gainers from the UK were led by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics (BCYC) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics (AUTL), which rose 3.4% and 2.8% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Mereo BioPharma Group (MREO) and pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics (SLN), which were up 2% and 1.5% respectively. The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by software firm Endava (DAVA) and biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which dropped 23% and 3% respectively. They were followed by lenders HSBC (HSBC) and Lloyds Banking Group (LYG), which lost 1.9% and 1.4% respectively.
