Ripple Bull Winkle has shared a four-year-old interview as evidence for a potential connection between XRP and the future of digital currency in the United States.

The crypto commentator focused on remarks from David Morgan of TheMorganReport, who discussed the possibility of building a central bank digital currency on existing cryptocurrency infrastructure. Ripple Bull Winkle also claimed XRP could eventually replace the US dollar, although the interview discussed a more limited possibility.

Ripple Bull Winkle Highlights XRP And Digital Currency

Ripple Bull Winkle wrote, “This is not a drill,” claiming the Federal Reserve faces pressure to “stand down” and that XRP could replace the US dollar.

The commentator urged XRP holders to heed the information immediately. Ripple Bull Winkle supported the post with a four-year-old video from Stansberry Research featuring an interview with David Morgan.

This is not a drill.

Stansberry Research, a privately owned American publishing company, focuses on investment-related publications. During the interview, Morgan discussed the financial system’s direction toward some form of digital currency.

The interviewer asked Morgan whether executive orders and mandates for a potential Federal Reserve digital dollar represented a coincidence. Morgan rejected that idea, saying such developments followed the financial system’s direction.

David Morgan Mentions XRP Infrastructure

Morgan said he had researched the subject extensively but could not determine exactly how far development had progressed. He then mentioned XRP as one cryptocurrency that could support a future digital currency system.

Morgan explained that authorities could build on an existing cryptocurrency such as XRP or another digital asset that already functions and has been tested. He also said authorities could place a central bank digital currency on top of that infrastructure.

Morgan suggested that this approach could accelerate the development of a digital currency system. His comments therefore focused on XRP as possible infrastructure for a CBDC rather than directly identifying XRP as a replacement for the US dollar.

Ripple Bull Winkle used those remarks to support the broader claim and connect Morgan’s comments to XRP’s potential role in the US financial system.

Commenter Challenges The Dollar Replacement Claim

Jamie Williamson challenged Ripple Bull Winkle’s interpretation in the comments. Williamson called the post “clickbait nonsense” and rejected the claim that the Federal Reserve could stand down.

Williamson also argued that sovereign governments rely on legal tender, taxation systems, and sovereign debt structures. He described XRP as an asset designed to facilitate cross-border liquidity between currencies rather than replace a national currency.

The two positions present different interpretations of XRP’s potential role. Ripple Bull Winkle connected Morgan’s comments about digital currency infrastructure to a broader possibility for XRP, while Williamson rejected the idea that XRP could replace the US dollar. The four-year-old interview discussed using XRP or another existing cryptocurrency as infrastructure for a future CBDC, rather than confirming any plan to replace the dollar with XRP.
